During the month of February, the ESAO Management team has made a prospecting trip to learn more about the olive oil market in Greece.
The trip has covered the areas of Peloponnese and Crete which together account for approximately 75% of Greece's olive oil production. They have been able to visit various agents in the value chain, including ESAO Alumni, as well as analyze the olive grove landscape, different olive oil mills and other places of interest for olive oil.
Within the framework of this trip, Susana Romera, Technical Director of ESAO, was invited to participate as a speaker in the Conference entitled "Olive oil: Greece - Spain fighting together, not competitors".
